Conditions of Use



"Made" aims to give you a superb wool delivery service. We have set out below the guidelines to let you know what you can expect from us and see the terms on which you place your order. "You" and "Your" means the person ordering Goods from 'Made', who must be over 18 years of age.

"Made" "We" or "Us" or "Our" means Made - Knitting at 36 Seaview Road, Wallasey, Merseyside, CH45 4LA

“Let Us Know” means visit Our Site and amend or cancel Your order, call us on 0151 638 0304. You may also write to us at our address.

"Site" means Our Knitting online website at www.madewirral.co.uk.

1 Becoming a Customer
1.1 To place an order as a customer You must be over 18 years of age,
If you are an Overseas customer, please e-mail us first with your requirements. We will then send you a quote by return which will also quote for postage. 1.2 When You place an order you will be given an order reference number which can be found on the invoice.Please keep these in a safe place.
1.3 We reserve the right to decline an order at anytime.

2 Prices
2.1 All prices quoted are inclusive of any Value Added or other tax


3 Cancellations
3.1 You can change your mind about purchasing products or withdraw or change Your order at any time before dispatch. To do this please ring our shop on 0151 638 0304. If your item has been dispatched it falls under the returns policy.

4 Returns
4.1 We will not accept items that have their ball bands broken or have been removed from their packaging unless such items are faulty. Your rights under consumer legislation for these products are not affected.
4.2 If you are unhappy with the goods you may return them to us in good condition at your own expense within 7 days of purchase. This does not affect your statutory rights and is in line with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

5 Stock Shortages
5.1 On the event of an item being out of stock when you place an order on such items. We will contact you to ask if You Would like to wait for the item or cancel. If you cancel, we will handle this in accordance with clause 3.1.  Our system does not count dyelot numbers.  If we have different dyelots, we will inform you and ask if you wish to continue or if you wish us to order the full amount of yarn for you.

6 Colour matching
6.1 Colours shown can vary for a variety of reasons. We have tried our best to match the colours on screen to the colour of the product, however we advise that you have seen the physical item, or look at the manufacturers website to verify colour descriptions before ordering.
6.2 We will always provide yarn of the same dye lot within an order, however we cannot guarantee the same dye lot on split orders. Please Contact Us if you have specific requirements before placing your order
6.3 Upon arrival of the product to the delivery address, if you are unhappy with the product for the reason of colour or texture, we will handle this in accordance with clause 4.2

7 What We are Not Liable For
7.1 Whilst We take every care to deliver your order We cannot be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage or loss of profits arising out of our supply or failure to supply the products to you.

8 Postage & Packing
8.1 We try to keep our prices as low as possible and we are pleased to be able to offer capped P+P which will be stated on the order form. Orders over £50.00 will be delivered free of charge. Larger items that come direct from the manufacturer such as Silver Reed are not included in this offer postage and packing for these items will be as displayed on the relevant web page.

9. Courses
In order to secure a place on one of our courses, we must receive at least a minimum of £10.00 deposit. This will hold a place for you until 5 days prior to the start of course, by which time we should have received payment in full.  We will send you a reminder and ask you to confirm your attendance. If full payment is not received by this time or we have not heard from the 'customer' then we reserve the right to offer the place to someone else.

9a  Your Right to Cancel.  Cancellations can be made up to 10 days before the start of the course and the deposit will be refunded.  After this time, the deposit will be retained unless we can fill the place.  The deposit can be used off another course place at a later date provided cancellation is made more than 48 hours before the start of the course.  Otherwise the deposit will be forfeit.

10 Changes to these Terms
10.1 We reserve the right to Change these Terms & Conditions at anytime without notification so long as we uphold any orders, that were made on or before the date of change, to the previous Terms & Conditions contract.
